The following incidents occurred March 28, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office:

Deputies responded to a structure fire at 12:01 p.m. March 28, on Sassafras Lane in Daytona North. The modular home was fully engulfed when deputies arrived.

The homeowner told deputies he left a small campfire burning in his backyard when he went fishing at a nearby canal. A neighbor located him, told him his house was on fire and gave him a lift back to the scene. Flagler County Fire and Rescue responded to the home.

In a separate incident at 5:47 p.m. March 28, a Palm Coast resident reported he lost a .357 Smith & Wesson handgun. The gun owner said he last saw the gun three years ago inside his home on Wendover Lane.

The 68-year-old man told deputies he hides his guns throughout the residence, so no one steals them but he was unable to locate this particular weapon.
