The Flagler Woman’s Club awarded six $1,000 scholarships to local seniors at its annual Scholarship Luncheon, held at the clubhouse. The 2011 recipients are Marielena Dias, University of Florida, political science; Kelly Flanagan, Stetson University, veterinary medicine; Antoinette Hagins, University of North Florida, medicine; Vladimir Jean-Pierre, University of North Florida, civil engineering; Deetra Ware, Florida State University, physical therapy; and Amanda Wilson, Florida State University, engineering.
The club has given more than 60 scholarships in its history and will be awarding more scholarships to outstanding seniors in 2012.
