+ Hospital to rename Volusia Home Care department
Senior executives at Florida Hospital Flagler have decided to consolidate the home health operations of Florida Hospital Volusia Home Care, which services the West Volusia market, and Florida Hospital Memorial Home Health, which services the eastern corridor from Palm Coast to New Smyrna Beach. In December, the department’s name will be Florida Hospital Home Health.
David Ottati, president and CEO of Florida Hospital Flagler, which will oversee the program, says the consolidation will streamline operations and save money.

+ Chamber member drive brings in 58 new businesses
In order to expand participation in the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, a membership drive competition was held Sept. 6 to Sept. 16. Two teams were formed, each consisting of representatives from 20 local businesses. The winning team, captained by Gaylee Tillotson, of Top Shelf Storage and Penske Palm Coast, competed as “The Chamber Shotz,” and brought in 33 new members.
“The Bored Members,” captained by Dave Fowler, of Alliance Financial Services, came in second, with 25 new members.
As the winning team, Chamber Shotz won a Golden Lion Café cocktail party. Tillotson, who was the individual to register the most new members, with nine, won a two-night stay at the Reunion Resort in Orlando, donated by the Hammock Beach Resort.
A drawing will also be held at the next chamber After Hours event for all existing members who solicited new membership. Call 437-0106.
