County Commissioner Barbara Revels replaced Alan Peterson as new chairwoman of the Flagler County Board of County Commissioners Monday night, Nov. 21.

“We’re at that occasion where we’re going to choose a new chair for the county commission,” said County Attorney Al Hadeed, acting for Judge Raul Zambrano and opening the floor for nominations.

Commissioner Milissa Holland, who initially motioned to have a rotation structure on the board, nominated Revels. Commissioner George Hanns seconded. No others were nominated.

Revels was unanimously named the new Flagler County Board of County Commission chairwoman.

Hanns then nominated Nate McLaughlin for the vice-chair position. He was also unanimously elected.
