+ Styles Salon Inc. expands, relocates to Florida Park
Owned by Helia Rodrigues, Styles Salon Inc. has moved from 4 Office Park Drive to a new, larger, location, at 7 Florida Park Drive. From a 450-square-feet space, the salon more than tripled to 1,500 square feet.

“If you want to go big, you might as well go with a bang,” Rodrigues said. “I love my new location. I think it’s perfect.”

A 17-year Flagler County resident, Rodrigues bought Styles Salon last March, after it had been in local operation seven years. The salon employs four stylists and one nail technician, and will be adding more stylists when back-ordered furniture arrives.

+ Sam’s Auto Repair moves to Bunnell, doubles space
The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates held a grand opening for Sam’s Auto Repair Friday, Oct. 28, at its new Bunnell location, at 800 N. State St. Formerly located on Enterprise Drive, off U.S. 1, the new space, at 5,800 square feet, is more than double the size of its previous shop.

Sam’s also brought on one new employee, with 30-plus years of experience, and is offering free alignment checks on request with all oil changes. It will continue to offer its same three-year, 3,600-mile warranty on all parts and labor, as well.

+ National Real Estate Information Services joins ACI’s mortgage platform
ACI, a mortgage valuation platform, announced recently that National Real Estate Information Services is now in production with www.Appraisal.com, an appraiser-facing portal.

ACI announced in August the integration of Appraisal.com as the delivery platform to the Uniform Collateral Data Portal, a platform for the electronic submission of appraisal data for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

+ Florida Hospital Flagler surgeon Walsh named one of best in the country
Florida Hospital Flagler cardio-thoracic surgeon Dr. John Walsh was named one of America’s top surgeons by the Consumer’s Research Council of America.

Consumers’ Research Council of America’s list is decided through a point-value system that assesses a surgeon’s years of experience, education and continuing education, associations memberships and board certifications.

Walsh has practiced in the Palm Coast area for more than six years.  He has served as Florida Hospital Flagler’s chief of surgery since 2008 and has been on the hospital’s Board of Directors for two years.
