Kathleen Terlizzo and Jane Villa-Lobos won top honors at the 14th Community Flower Show and Plant Sale April 29 and April 30, sponsored by The Garden Club at Palm Coast and the Flagler County Association of Realtors.
Florida Federation of Garden Clubs judges awarded Terlizzo Best of Show in the Floral Design Division for an arrangement of bird of paradise, anthurium, and pin cushion proteas nestled in a 50-inch queen palm sheath outlined by green LED rope lighting.
Villa-Lobos’ cotton candy Boston fern was awarded Horticultural Excellence and Award of Merit ribbons in the Horticulture Division. She was also presented with the Sweepstakes Award for the most blue ribbons.
Other Award of Merit recipients in horticulture were Jill Carpenter, flowering plants; Judith Davies, succulents; and Edwina Tabit, roses.
