The Flagler Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution honored Flagler County Deputy Daniel Weaver May 9, with the Chapter’s 2011 SAR Law Enforcement Award, at the Sheriff’s Office.

Weaver attended the University of Central Florida, where he received a bachelor of science in criminal justice. He obtained his state certification from St. Johns River Community College, prior to being hired by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in January 2007.

Weaver was recognized in 2010 for his investigation of an armed robbery, recovering numerous prescription pills and resulting in the apprehension of a dangerous felon.  He has received a Meritorious Award as well as a Unit Citation for his accomplishments with the agency along with 11 letters of commendations.
