Florida Blood Centers are looking for donors in Flagler County. The Big Red Bus will be making two stops this month, in Flagler.

The first stop will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Florida Hospital Flagler, 60 Memorial Medical Parkway.

The second stop will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, March 28, at the Flagler County Administration Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd., building 2, Bunnell.

All donors will receive a free ticket to the Daytona Lagoon Water park, a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, and a T-shirt, plus Club Red for ALYX donors.

Each time you donate blood it’s like getting a free mini-physical because FBC tests cholesterol and triglyceride levels and allows donors to chart their levels online.

FBC also runs the blood through a battery of tests to check for diseases such as HIV 1 and 2, West Nile virus and Chagas’ disease and will notify donors of positive tests.
