The Flagler County Democratic Club has elected consultant Douglas Beaven as its 2011 president.
The organization, chartered by the Flagler County Executive Committee, exists to stimulate, in all the citizens of the community, an active interest in governmental affairs, increase the efficiency of popular government and to perpetuate the ideas and principles of the Democratic Party.
Also elected with Beaven were Aynne McAvoy, first vice president; Merrill Shapiro, second vice president; Ivory Johnson, treasurer; Roxanne Convery, recording secretary and Konnie Rae, corresponding secretary.
