Budget to be discussed at City Council workshop

The Palm Coast City Council will delve into budget discussions Tuesday morning at its workshop meeting, which begins at 9 a.m. at City Offices, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite B-106.

Some of the departments City Manager Jim Landon expects to discuss are parks maintenance and streets.

Other items that will be discussed at the workshop include a modification with the Department of Community Affairs to extend the city’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program.

The City Council will also discuss a one-year extension with Fred Fox Enterprises Inc. and Flagler Home Services Corp. to provide developer services for the city’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program.

A resolution approving a contract to Merrick Industries Inc. for purchase and installation of a new 1,000-pound-per-hour lime slaker for $119,595 at the city’s water treatment plant No. 1.

Also, a resolution approving a contract to Doosan Hydro Technology in the amount of $447,000 for purchase and installation of new membrane elements for the city’s water treatment plant No. 2 will be discussed.
