The following is an adapted press release from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office:

Now you do not have to wait until you’re on a computer to get information from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Instead, you can get updates instantly wherever you are.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has developed a Web application that puts its most popular features from their website into a mobile-friendly format.

The app address is as follows: http://ww.myfcso.us/m

The mobile site allows the public to search the inmate facility for persons that have booked in the jail, read daily logs of happenings in Flagler County, search contacts and file a report right from your smartphone.

“The industry forecast predicts the smartphone market will grow more than 50% in 2011,” said Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming. “We are moving forward with technology and I encourage residents to use this easy-access method to visit our website.”

The new technology move was completed by the Sheriff’s Information Technology Unit at no cost to the taxpayer.

Fleming said the site will continue to be expanded to bring more information to the public.
