The Rotary Club of Flagler County recently celebrated its annual installation of new officers. Board members recognized individual member contributions and established new goals for the next year.

Joel Fallon surprised the members by awarding Rotarian of the Year to two members: John Skripko and Carol Sharp.

The newly installed officers and board members are as follows: Incoming President Bill Butler, President-elect Rick Staly, Treasurer Beth Taylor, Secretary John Skripko, Sgt. of Arms R.J. Daley, Immediate Past President Joel Fallon, and board members Gary Kindell, Julie Gamble, Lloyd Freckleton, Mike Kelley, Jay Mills, Jeanette Loftus, Carol Sharp and Ken Neu. Two new members were inducted at the event: Jack Froonjian, president of CoreTranz, Palm Coast; and Ron Hertel, attorney, Chiumento, Guntharp, and Selis.

Butler challenged club members to embrace this year’s Rotary International theme, “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity.” He praised the good works of Rotary locally and around the world. Butler announced that Rotary’s mission to eradicate polio globally is near completion.

The Rotary Club of Flagler County meets at noon every Tuesday, at the Pine Lakes Club.
