Palm Coast to host tree recycling

The city of Palm Coast will hold a Christmas tree Recycling event 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 7, at Fuel Depot, 22 Utility Drive.

Additional items accepted are: televisions, computers, monitors, laptops, keyboards, speakers, mouse, ups battery backups, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, desktop phones, cell phones, wires, plugs, extension cords, batteries, and rechargeable batteries and old Christmas lights.

In corporation with Girl Scout Troops 966,987 and 1307, the city of Palm Coast will also be accepting Styrofoam packaging for recycling and gift wrap. The troops will convert the used gift wrap into a creative art project to be featured during Arbor Day, May 5.

Items that will not be accepted are: household hazardous waste, microwaves and anything with radiation, car batteries or used motor oil.
