Members of the Flagler Palm Coast High School lacrosse team donated $200 to the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation’s Cancer Care Fund.

“We wanted more people to take action on helping to fight breast cancer,” said Katia Zintchenko, 15, Flagler Palm Coast High School varsity girls lacrosse player.

Teammate Nicole Madalena, 16, added that the entire varsity girls lacrosse team worked together to raise money and awareness for local women battling breast cancer.

“Throughout October, we sold the T-shirts for $8 and ended up raising $200,” she said.

John Subers, Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation and Marketing Director, said “These teenagers made a real difference in the lives of our neighbors, friends and family members.”
