More than 200 people watched and listened Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Florida Hospital Flagler Volunteer Auxiliary Lights of Love tree lighting ceremony.

The lights on the tree represent more than 1,000 individuals who are remembered by family and friends over the holiday season.

The Buddy Taylor Middle School chorus and Malt Shoppe Memories sang at the lighting.

The Light of Love program, sponsored by the Volunteer Auxiliary of Florida Hospital Flagler, began in 1989.

The Volunteer Auxiliary of Florida Hospital Flagler started the program to recognize that the holiday season is a time to remember and honor friends and loved ones. The tree is located at Florida Hospital Flagler’s south entrance. A menorah is also on display.
