In honor of Sgt. Frank Celico, who died in September at 33, the Celico Foundation is beginning to reach out to the community. After a successful car wash fundraiser, the foundation will give away 31 bicycles and helmets Dec. 23.

According to foundation spokesperson Jon Dopp, the families were selected by the outreach program at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

“We want to make sure the money is going back to the community and is going to a good cause,” Dopp said.

Celico ran the bike patrol for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and was involved with bicycle rodeos and elementary schools.

To donate to the foundation, call 237-7432, visit www.FrankCelico.org or donate at any Prosperity Bank location.
