Controlled burns taking place south of Daytona North

Controlled burns are scheduled today just south of Daytona North, according to FlaglerEmergency.com.

Another burn that was conducted last week is still smoldering just west of Palm Coast, along US 1.

Smoke plumes may be seen during the daytime hours, and localized dense smoke may occur at night in the areas of these burns.
