Absentee ballots now available for Palm Coast elections

The following is an adapted press release from the city of Palm Coast:

The 2011 elections are approaching in Palm Coast.

Plan to obtain an absentee ballot to participate in the election process if you plan to be away from the city or are unable to travel to a polling location for the primary election (Sept. 13) or tbe general election (Nov. 8).

Absentee ballots are available through the Supervisor of Elections office by calling 313-4170 or picking up a ballot at the Supervisor of Elections office in the Government Services Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd.

Only the voter or a designated member of his/her immediate family or legal guardian can request an absentee ballot for the voter. The elections office must have your correct mailing address. Ballots cannot be forwarded by the United States Postal Service.

The deadline for requesting city of Palm Coast primary election absentee ballots is Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Please remember that elections are at large, meaning all registered voters can vote for all seats up for election, no matter in which district the voter resides.
