Ally Erickson, a Buddy Taylor Middle School student, recently attended a clarinet clinic, at Stetson University, and brought home an Outstanding Musician Award.

The clinic was held by Lynn Ann Musco, who is the professor of clarinets and coordinator of woodwind studies, at Stetson University.

After a full week of music clinics and instruction, the 80 students, who came from numerous counties within Florida, presented both parents and friends with a classical concert to exhibit the progress that had been achieved.

“The highlight for our family was when Ally was presented with a National Band Association award,” Cindy Erickson said.
