When Stuart F. Meyer ended his career as president of the St. Louis Cardinals, he and his wife moved to Hammock Dunes.

One of the many ways Meyer is remembered is through the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice at Florida Hospital Flagler, which opened in 2007, six years after Meyer died of cancer.

In order to help fund its services, many organizations and individuals have made donations to the facility.

The Anchor Boat Club has donated to the house three times for a total of $7,253 donated and will be honored on the hospice house’s donor board, which lists all entities that have donated more than $5,000.
