Palm Coast's utility bill rates are going up, beginning on Oct. 1.

According to a press release, the city's adjustment of rates for water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste services are part of the city's established rate structure and are not new or unplanned increases.

The adjustments are as follow:

  • Water and wastewater rates will increase by 5.1% effective Oct. 1. The annual adjustment is based on the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) Water and Sewerage Maintenance Services Index.
  • The monthly stormwater rate will adjust from $36.16 to $38.33 per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU), an increase of $2.17 per month. This is part of the five-year fee schedule established in the city's 2023 stormwater rate study.
  • The monthly residential solid waste rate will be $34.37, in accordance with the City’s agreement with FCC Environmental Services Inc.

"All four services, water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste, are included on the City’s monthly utility bill," the press release states. "The adjustments support the continued operation, maintenance, and long-term planning of the services and infrastructure that serve Palm Coast residents."

All utility customers will receive a notice in their Oct. 1 utility bill with a complete schedule of updated utility rates. Visit palmcoast.gov/utility-strategic-plan for more information on the city's utility project and long-term infrastructure planning.
