Ace Hardware, 204 St. Joe Plaza, Palm Coast, has been recognized for its support of Flagler County veterans and veterans organizations. The store provides hundreds of flags each year that are placed on Memorial Day next to the gravestones of veterans in Flagler County cemeteries.
“The flags are distributed to veterans organizations in Flagler County. [They] are placed to show respect to those that have served our country but are no longer with us,” said Jeff Kingdon, chairman of the Flagler County Veterans Advisory Council. “Ace, thank you for setting a wonderful example of corporate responsibility and patriotism.”
Flagler County Veterans Services Officer David Lydon and Kingdon recently presented store manager Tony Capua with a wooden plaque that displays the icons of all six military branches. The message on the plaque reads: “Thank You For Honoring And Respecting Our Veterans.”
