DUI. Police arrested a 49-year-old Colorado woman who was suspected to have been involved in a hit-and-run and was caught drinking mouth wash.
As the woman spoke with police, officers noted her slurred speech and constricted pupils. According to an incident report, she was unable to answer basic questions about where she was going and what day it was, and as she spoke with officers, she pulled out a bottle of Listerine (which contains 21.6% alcohol) and began to take multiple sips from the bottle.
"I have coffee breath," she told officers.
The woman refused to speak further with officers and declined to perform sobriety exercises. She was taken to jail.

Suspicious incident. Police recently responded to a house fire over suspicions of foul play.
According to an incident report, a neighbor called 911 after he spotted the house on fire. Before first responders arrived, the neighbor started knocking on doors and windows to try and contact the home's occupants, but received no response.
After police spoke with the neighbor, one of the homeowners approached and stated she believed the fire had been set intentionally by her children's father, who had threatened to do so in the past. She told officers that the house was for sale and the suspect had been attempting to obstruct showings and intimidate potential buyers, the report states.
Shortly after, the suspect's girlfriend, who lives in the home, appeared on the scene and told police that there had been incidents of electrical issues in a guest bedroom in the past.
Eventually, the suspect himself spoke to police and when officers asked how he was doing, he said, "Great." After a pause, he added, "all things considered," according to the police report.
An investigation is ongoing.
