According to a press release, the Crusader Sword Award recognizes Lions who demonstrate an "exceptional commitment to service, leadership, and making a lasting difference in their community." Lions Trish Vevera (Ormond Beach), Mary Yochum (Ormond-by-the-Sea), Hank Lunsford (South Daytona) and Nina Guiglotto (Flagler County) were honored with the award.
