As part of the Peabody Auditorium Foundation’s Young Audience Series, now in its 6th season, the nonprofit organization is presenting TheaterWorksUSA’s, "Clifford The Big Red Dog: The Musical" at the News-Journal Center on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m.

Admission is $25 per person and can be purchased by visiting www.peabodyfoundation.org.

To help highlight all things “Clifford”, the Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens as well as Early Learning Coalition are getting in on the act. OMAM will include Clifford the Big Red Dog in its World Wide Day of Play on Sept. 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in which ELC will be featured from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Clifford will also play a role in the Museum’s Free Family Art night on Friday Oct. 2, 5:30-7pm.

In addition to incorporating Clifford the Big Red Dog into reading activities throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties, ELC will also host activities for children and their families in attendance before and after the musical performance on Oct. 10.

“The mission of our Young Audience Series is to provide youth and family audiences with affordable opportunities to experience engaging, educational and entertaining live cultural performances in our community that foster an appreciation of the arts," Peabody Auditorium Foundation President Rene Bell Adams said. "Working with OMAM and ELC helps truly round out that mission with a holistic approach by incorporating play as well as sensory, visual and learning experiences to provide a full spectrum of events surrounding a beloved, multi-generational childhood favorite. We are so appreciative of OMAM and ELC, for all they do for our community’s families and especially for incorporating our production into their curriculum and special events.”

These activities will also include the opportunity to win tickets to the Oct. 10th show. For sponsorship, donation information or tickets, please go to peabodyfoundation.org. The News-Journal Center is located at 221 N. Beach St., Daytona Beach.
