In Loving Memory of James C. Foster
James, age 95, peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2026, in Palm Coast, Florida. Deeply loved by his family, he was surrounded by those closest to him at the time of his passing. James proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged, he went on to enjoy a distinguished career with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, retiring in 1989 as Director of Personnel.
A devoted Christian and faithful servant, James served as a Deacon and in numerous leadership roles at both Emmanuel Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., and Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Palm Coast. In 1997, he was elected to the General Board of the American Baptist Churches of the South (“ABCOTS”), and he held various other leadership positions in several national and regional organizations.
James will be remembered for his unwavering faith, devoted service, and leadership. He leaves a lasting legacy of love to his three children, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of cherished family members and friends.
