The City of Ormond Beach has launched a free mobile app.
OB Connect is designed to give residents a convenient way to report nonemergency concerns and stay connected with the community, a press release announced Tuesday.
Powered by SeeClickFix, OB Connect allows residents to report issues like potholes, damaged street signs and other nonemergency concerns directly from their phone.
Requests submitted through OB Connect are routed to the appropriate city department for review and follow-up. Users will have the ability to track the progress of their requests as well as review other reports submitted in the community.
“We’re excited to give residents another simple way to communicate with the City when they see something that needs our attention,” City Manager Joyce Shanahan said in the press release. “We want residents to feel like they have total access to our staff, and this is just one of the ways we can make that convenient.”
OB Connect also allows users to pay their utility bill, view community events, sign up for traffic alerts, receive City updates and more.
Registration is not required to submit a concern on the app, but residents who register can automatically receive updates, including road closures, meeting reminders, hurricane alerts and other time-sensitive information, the city states.
The app is available on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Requests can also be submitted online at seeclickfix.com/ormond-beach.
