Belle Terre Elementary fifth graders lead Pledge of Allegiance at Daytona NASCAR race

BTES STUDENTS HAVE DAY TO REMEMBER

It was an incredible night for 26 Belle Terre Elementary School fifth-grade ambassadors who had the honor of leading the Pledge of Allegiance at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on Aug. 29 at Daytona International Speedway.

For many of them it was their first NASCAR race.

"The excitement, smiles, and energy were absolutely unforgettable! Watching our students represent Belle Terre Elementary in front of thousands of people was a moment we will never forget," a BTES social media post said.

The school's PTO donated the students' shirts. The Flagler County Education Foundation covered the tickets.

BAND MENTOR NIGHT AT BUDDY TAYLOR

August Mentor Night at Buddy Taylor Middle School was a huge success. Flagler Palm Coast High School student musicians provided one-on-one music instruction and encouragement to BTMS student musicians.

Through these experiences, Flagler Schools and the arts build confidence, leadership, collaboration and excellence, helping every student to excel and discover their potential.

BES 3RD GRADERS VISIT EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER

Bunnell Elementary School third graders visited the Flagler County Emergency Operations Center. 

They asked questions and connected with the people who keep Flagler County safe. And they shared their appreciation of the visit with personalized thank-you notes.
