A GoFundMe has been launched to help a Palm Coast mother and her young child rebuild their lives following a deadly shooting at their home on Aug. 25.
The fundraiser was created by Jessica, one of Stephanie’s closest friends, to help provide financial support and stability as Stephanie and her child cope with the loss of a loved one and the aftermath of the shooting.
Stephanie and her young child escaped from their Palm Coast home after her ex-boyfriend and the child’s father, 34-year-old Jerome Curry, entered the residence armed with a gun and fatally shot Stephanie’s current boyfriend, 28-year-old Andrew Yoder, before taking his own life as deputies arrived.
“More than anything, this fundraiser is meant to give them a little breathing room so they can focus on healing and caring for one another without the immediate weight of bills and expenses,” the fundraiser description states.
The fundraiser also seeks to provide temporary stability as Stephanie and her child face the possibility that the home they knew may no longer be a place they can return to.
“Every donation, prayer, and share means so much, and we are deeply grateful for any kindness shown to this family as they begin to rebuild together,” the fundraiser states.
