Gary George Marz, 62, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on August 22, 2026, in Flagler Beach.
Born on February 1, 1964, in Mineola, New York, Gary George Marz was a 1982 graduate of Flagler Palm Coast High School. He will be remembered as a kind and outgoing man who was full of life and who had a way of making people laugh and smile at any time. Born with a heart defect, Gary faced significant challenges throughout his life. After receiving a new heart in 2014, he beat the odds and continued striving to be the best he could be.
Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, adoring “favorite” uncle and great uncle and a friend to all. He is survived by his wife, Brittany; his daughter Lauren Marz “Pooh,” his son, Joseph Marz(Brittany Macaione Marz); his grandson, Taylor; step-sons Shelby Elrod and Blayne Elrod, his sister, Jo-Anne Sweiger; his brothers, Paul Marz and Debbie Marz niece Jessica and nephew David(fiancé Miranda) ; brother George Marz and Sister-in-law Stephanie Loftus Marz, nieces Heather Marz (Bryan) Calliope and James , Marissa Marz (Ryan) Lily, Lydia and Landon and nephew Mike Marz(Cierra). He was predeceased by his mother, Josephine Ann “Kay” Flower; his father, Stanley William Marz; and his brother, Michael Marz and great nephew Austin.
Gary enjoyed roller skating, motorcycles, classic car enthusiast, billiards, bowling, and singing karaoke, loved cruises, and was an excellent poker player. He was also a huge sports fan who especially loved his New York teams, the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. These interests were an important part of his life and reflected the energy and enthusiasm he brought to those around him.
Gary George Marz will be remembered for his warmth, resilience, and the joy he brought to others. His memory will remain with his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 27, 2026, from 12:00 AM to 05:00 PM at Caribbean Jacks Restaurant 721 Ballough Road.
