Palm Coast Little League names Ed Beckett softball coaching coordinator

Beckett will oversee both player and coach development.

Longtime Flagler County youth and high school softball coach Ed Beckett has been named Palm Coast Little League's new softball coaching coordinator.

Beckett, a retired teacher at Flagler Palm Coast Hgh School, brings years of experience coaching softball. A former college baseball catcher, he will oversee both player and coach development, the PCLL announced on social media.

One of his key goals, according to the announcement, is to standardize Palm Coast Little League's practice programs, with an emphasis on individual skill building through station-based, small-group training.

"Softball is Coach Beckett's passion and PCLL is truly blessed to have his guidance and support," the announcement stated.

Beckett will lead a pitchers and catchers softball clinic at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, on Palm Coast Little League Field 3.
