Four Flagler Palm Coast state champs received their championship rings before a packed stadium during the Potato Bowl football game on Aug. 21.
Logan Jacobelli, Will Roberts, Mikey Najpaver and Jordan Haymon won the boys 4x400 relay title at the Class 4A state track and field championships last spring.
Roberts, Najpaver and Haymon have all graduated but returned for the ceremony wearing FPC T-shirts, while Jacobelli, a wide receiver playing in the game, was dressed in his football uniform. The ceremony was held after the first quarter as boys track coach David Halliday presented the athletes with their rings.
A total of eight FPC athletes won state championships during the winter and spring athletic seasons in the 2025-26 school year. Nya Williams won two girls weightlifting championships. Cody Strawser and Matt McFall each won a boys weightlifting championship. And Karina Marcelus won the girls triple jump title at the track and field championships.
