One Village Foundation hosted its fourth annual Back to School Block Party on Aug. 9 at the St. Joe Plaza.
The event brought families and friends, local businesses, volunteers and community leaders together for a day dedicated to helping Flagler County students prepare for the school year.
“This event is truly a reflection of what can happen when a community comes together,” said Arah Williams, One Village Foundation's founder. “We want to salute all of the wonderful people who donated supplies, our sponsors — new and returning — and everyone who participated in serving this community.”
The event included the distribution of school supplies and services. Local barbers came together to provide over 60 free haircuts for children. Staff members from Scoops and Subs and Toney's Barbershop worked together to make sure hildren were ready to head back to school looking and feeling their best.
