The Rotary Club of Flagler County received six awards from District Gov. John Brunner and Rotary International President Sakuji Tanaka during Rotary International's District 6970 Conference on May 18, in Gainesville, including being recognized as a Premier Club. Only 20 clubs in the District received this designation.

"It is humbling to be recognized … for the volunteer work and service our members provide to the community and Rotary International," said Rick Staly, president of the Rotary Club of Flagler County.

Staly also received a “Well Done” Award, for his outstanding leadership and service.
