21-year-old Palm Coast woman killed in car crash fire

Her sedan caught fire after hitting a tree on Old Kings Road just after midnight on Oct. 16.

A 21-year-old woman was killed after her sedan hit a tree and the car caught fire just after midnight on Oct. 16. 

The woman was driving south on Old Kings Road, 1.5 miles north of Town Center Boulevard, when the crash happened. The sedan crossed the northbound lane of Old Kings Road and hit a tree, according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol. 

The sedan caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames. The Flagler County Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire but the driver was pronounced dead on the scene, the press release said.
